There are so many forms of fish abuse out there that it's hard to count them all... Some forms are more difficult to spot then others. I'm going to say some of the more common forms of abuse and explain them and then I'll go into some of the newer, more unusual forms of abuse, such as the new iPond in Australia. Now, I must say that the idea for a paper on fish abuse was taken from a girl on another form, however, she has not given it to us, she just gave me some forms of abuse, so I am going to site her as a source once I'm done. Now, one of the most obvious, yet annoying, form of abuse is when people walk into a store without any knowledge and buy the goldfish death bowls (similar to the turtle deathbowls that have been mentioned in a former article of TFH) and try to stick three goldfish in them. The lack of knowledge is a disease in the hobby and it spreads very easy.
I need a bit more time to plan, this was all very spontaneous, I like it as a opening paragraph, but I need to do a bit more research... Any comments, criticism, or suggestions are appreciation.

Re: Fish Abuse
A goldfish "death bowl". I have a spherical model that holds 1.5 gallons of water. Is that what you are writing about? If not, then perhaps a photo is in order.

Re: Fish Abuse
Yes, this is what they are talking about. Such a situation is absolutely unacceptable for any kind of fish; it cannot house a proper heater or filter, the shape does not allow sufficient oxygenation, and i can't think of and fish that can live in 1.5 gallons of water!ndpowell wrote:A goldfish "death bowl". I think that this is an area that really needs attention.
