Impressive. How do you move the hood to feed fish and clean tank?

thank u Scott and Laura.
currently pulling the chain and hooking few next rings into the bolt on the brackets r working for me. to feed i'll not have to move the hood as there is enough space. i can even remove the hood as it weighs only 7 kgs. but i'll be doing a change i.e either fitting a pulley on both the brackets or fitting another rod accross the two brackets and making it easier to lift the hood further up.
btw do u think i should do any changes in the scaping?

oh wow, nice tank! I love the arrangement in the middle with your driftwood. The sides and back then could have taller plants. Speaking of the greens, what are you planning on planting?

I think the rocks would look nicer in little groupings rather than spread evenly like that. A group of 3 close together and then the others spread out more "unevenly" may work?

@lonewolf = thanx bro. i was thinking to lean the woods to the sides to avoid the flower arrangement look it might give.
as far a plants r concerned we dont get any plants here at the lfs and the other source is the hobbyists. there r many generous hobbyists in my circle who r willing to help but for a tank this big it wasnt possible to borrow. so, i ordered plants with a reputed dealer in singapore and the same should arrive anytime on tuesday or wednesday.
my plant list goes like this:
1 rotala nanjen
2. rotala rotundifolia red and green
3. rotala coralata
4.vivipara
5.Ludwigia Glandulosa
6. Ludwigia Repens
7.Ludwigia arcuata
8. blyxa japonica
9.eliocharis parvula
10. glosso stigma
11. cryptocoryne wenditii
12. cryptocoryne pettchii
13. cryptocoryne tropica
14. Java fern needle leaf
15. Bolbitis heudeloti
16. christmas moss
17. Anubias nana petite

@ Laura - thanx for the suggestion. i'll try and do the needful. they were looking a bit odd to me too in the begining but all the family members liked it so i left it like that...lol

i can keep the stems at the desired height but how am i suppose to keep the crypts at the desired height? i mean it can only be done once new leaves start growing and then i can cut off the older leaves. is that how its done?

I wouldn't recommend trimming crypts, it may cause the whole plant to melt.

But most crypts don't get extremely tall so work as midground plants.
