Doesn't a 75gal have basically the same foot print as a 55gal only 18" in width rather than 12"

I might get one..but am seriously considering a few different swords (I blame Freshfish...now I'm hooked on them...but have different scaping ideas for that tank)

Yes, and that 6" makes a big difference, especially when talking about a plant that can easily spread 24" across if it decides to lay more flat than grow upwards (I trimmed those lower leaves off of my sword so they wouldn't shade my carpeting plants too badly...)

Definately make great centerpieces. In my 53GAL I had a Radican's Sword Plant (E.cordifolius) as my centerpiece plant. Nice long stems with oval shaped leaves growing at the ends of them.
