Yes, That is very true. But for a "temporary Time" it isn't usually a big deal. But ideally it is recommended to keep Soft & Hard Corals separated. I have a LFS that has separate systems for SPS, LPS & Soft corals. Ideally, that is how it should be. But for a fish store it can be very difficult. In theory, for how short of a time they are in the systems it shouldn't affect them. Ones that are not selling immediately can see problems after some time though.

Agree totally, the problem is having only the one tank, and corporate's NOT understanding those facts and continuing to have the supplier send in both types even tho the hard ones do not sell very well in our area because of a few strictly saltwater stores that are ALL within twentyfive miles of each other that can have separate systems and do!!!!!!!!

Corporate stores often do that. They don't always want to fully invest into the SW side of the hobby. They just want to be competitive.

True, but I must admit the Petco I work at is known as a aquatic superstore and we do have just over a thousand gallons of salt water fish tanks and people come to us from all over the state for fish.are fish tanks and the fish kept in them are ALWAYS healthy.I'm very proud of our salt fish and the amount of salt we sell compared to fresh is truly amazing!!!!!
