Are you able to ever put fish back into this tank without breaking it down and sterilising etc? Is there a safe time period with no further losses?
It looks so good!

Re: 29gal Planted Work Tank - 56k warning!
Kylie, my understanding is that Fish TB is extremely difficult to eradicate, so no, I don't plan to ever put fish back in this tank unless I break it down and sterilize it entirely first. So the plan is to keep it an invert tank for the foreseeable future.

I know the general US way of thinking regarding equipment, but "the rest of the world" (Europe, Japan and much of Asia) does not agree, and personally, I also don't enjoy it. I know that in Europe you would lose major points for showing as much as a small thermometer in full view. Hiding the equipment is regarded as part of the art of aquascaping.

I believe in function over form, Cor. That filter intake is right where it's most effective at catching debris!
You remove all the equipment for photos if you're entering a tank into a competition. But that's a royal pain and not something I'm gonna do for just "regular" pictures lol

I don't believe that

It doesn't matter what you do or say, as long as it looks or sounds GOOD. (I messed with that rule quite a bit in my life)

It's such a gorgeous tank - everyone needs to see it!
I was looking for your journal to see how you set it up, and what you put in it, as I am aiming for a similar look when I set up the 75G.

Re: 29gal Planted Work Tank - 56k warning!
I'm flattered!!
I actually just learned that I'm going to have to move the tank this week. The employee who has been doing the daily maintenance (feeding and water top-offs) is leaving my husband's company to go work for her daughter. So I'm probably going to see if his receptionist is willing to take it over. If so, I'll just move it out into the main reception area (I'm a little worried about kids out there... so that may or may not work).
If that doesn't work, I'll have to disassemble it and bring it home. Which I REALLY don't want to do because of the Fish TB. Sooooo... we'll see.

That's a bummer Freshfish, it's such a nice tank, and having it out in the Reception area would be a stellar idea, this way, everyone can see it!

Krystal agreed to take over the tank, so I moved it into the main lobby today. :)
Looks pretty good right now, the plants have all filled back in nicely from the last trim.
I did have an issue with the filter. Could NOT get it going again after moving the tank. Took it all apart, cleaned the impeller, tried opening and closing and repriming... smacked it around a bit... was about to give up and make a trip home to pick up one of my spare XP2s when I realized... the power bar had gotten switched off. *sigh*
Of course I completely forgot my camera again. May go by soon and get some updated pics. I want to put some Cherry shrimp in this tank, I think.

Nice, that would look wonderful in there indeed. Good stuff. At least you remembered to gas up your vehicle... hahaha

Re: 29gal Planted Work Tank - 56k warning!
Came into the office today to do a bit of tank maintenance.
Tank continues to do really well. Some holes in leaves so would benefit from some potassium dosing I'm sure, but everything continues to grow well otherwise.
Still haven't gotten more shrimp for the tank, but I definitely do want to add something to contrast in color against the Tiger shrimp, especially as I'm down to maybe a dozen fish.
Here's a few sorry cell phone pics (forgot my camera again, sorry!)

Don't apologize --great pics, great tank! I've been putting potassium in my tank to eliminate a hole problem in my office tank also, but haven't seen any difference yet.
