What kind of anenome is this?

I bought it as a carpet but I am starting to doubt that is what it is.
It's about 4 inches in diameter.

Yeah, I'm Voting Mini Carpet Anemone. Though, Based on the picture it does kind of look like Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral. . . Hmmm. . . Did you get it with the rock attached or without? Also, Has it moved around the tank much yet or at all?

It was attached to the rock. They couldn't get it off so I took the rock too.
It has moved around and had a meal since going into the tank.
I take it mini carpets don't host clowns then.

Believe it or not I have had them host Clowns with NO problems. Just they are a little small. I have a pair of Black Ocellaris Clownfish in a customers tank hosting a Mini Carpet Anemone. They are more than content. The Carpet doesn't seem to mind either. It all depends on the Clownfish though. They are usually the picky ones.

Is this Mini-Carpet that had a Clownfish supper? Sadly, I also believe this is a Mini-Carpet, no mistaking on the ID.

Just never heard of them taking out a Clownfish. though it is possible.

It looks nothing like any of my minicarpets. Also my Pink Skunk Clown ignore my minicarpet. Can you get a view from above to show off the top/face? That would help out a lot.
It's ok to love a bottom dweller.

I'll post a better photo later today. It moved to the side of the rock so I can get a nice shot showing the top of it.

I think it's a Sebae Anemone, but a top down shot will help with a definitive ID.

That is True! It Could Be A Sebae Anemone. But Its Tentacles Look Too short, Plus It Looks Much More Flat Than They Usually Do.

I'm still not sold that is a Sabae Anemone. It's too flat and it's tentacles are shorter than what I am used to seeing. But yes, You do need to get to the salty side. LOL
