That is new to me. I have yet to have one get eaten by a Mini Carpet. This one must have a very potent sting. Clownfish are usually resistable to almost all Anemones. Hmmm... I am Truly sorry to hear this. Like I said in the other post I have had great success with keeping them and the Anemone and getting them to host. Never had this problem before. Though, There is a first time to everything. R.I.P. Little Clownfish.

Is that a closed up mini carpet? When mine fully closes its tiny, smaller then my clown and looks nothing like that. I had a bubbletip that looked like that when closed.
It's ok to love a bottom dweller.

From what I know, generally speaking, if it has "carpet" in the name, it's very likely going to eat fish...apparently clowns too.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Steve.

Try a red or green bubble tip anemone, or a LPS coral like frogspawn, hammer, or I've even seen some softies like xenia and waving hand coral host clowns. Another LPS I've seen host clowns is bubble coral.
