Hi. I have a seven year old angel. Last week I noticed the angel loosing it's color. It was swimming like it was eating food on the top of the tank. I took a water test and found nothing wrong. I did my normal 7 gal. water change. This is a 30 gal tank. The tank mates are a pleco that is 7 years old, another angel that is 7 years old and 6 small fish. The tank has a canister and hang on back filter. The next two days it was swimming sideways. Than it was lying on the bottom. I thought it was dead. Touched it with my net and it swam away. It has now been a week lying on the bottom but it still fans the fins. The poor thing. I don't know what to do. I hate seeing suffering. What can I do for it or put it out of it's misery? Thanks :crying:

Sounds rough. I'm not sure how long angels usually live; could be it is dying by natural causes? When I was losing my Discus --it was brutal --the Plecos kept latching on to it. Yuck.

My angel is still hanging on. But instead of lying on his back he is upright but not swimming. This is strange. But from all I read I think he is dying of natural causes. To bad. He is one of my favorite fishes in the tank.
