Eheim Problems

Postby AnimalBoy333 (448) » Sun Feb 10, 2013 7:32 pm

Hey guys, I need some help, I got a Eheim Classic 150 today and set it up, but when I tried to turn it on, it would not suck up the water, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The 150 classic is the canister if I'm correct? So what needs to be done,

Step 1: you'll have to get the siphon started on the intake side
Step 2: while water is flowing into the canister plug in the power.
Step 3: your filter should be flowing water!

Note: If your lines have valves the process is much easier.

Try filling up the filter with water from your Aquarium and attempt to start suction this way. Cheating I know, but I do with my Rena all the time.

Lol, thanks guys, I actually did it before any of the responses were posted. And now as I am looking at it, it looks as if there is no water and runs so quietly! I can't wait to stock up my plants now! :D
