The fish in the ad on P. 61 of the Dec 12 issue

What is the fish that is in the Ocean Nutrition ad on page 61 of the Dec 12 issue pf TFH? Does it really have that much color or is it exagerated for the photo?

It has a very typical cichlid body shape, but I'd say the colors have been altered to coordinate with the advert colors.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I'm not a cichlid fanatic but I would consider setting up a tank for a gorgeous purple fish like that.
