I agree on that that way I can know where I posted posts bout my bettas or info. Instead of having to try to go looking for it or not remembering what you titled it that way it'll be in that section to revisit.

The problem with making specialized sections for fish is that it takes away from the Freshwater section and other discussions going on in other parts of the Forum.

Soon the Pencilfish people will want it split away, along with Tetras, Gourami, so on and so forth. Soon we have many Forums to maintain and that's something I do not wish to have.

When we redesigned the Forum, we actually combined a lot into "categories" and left it at that. It's daunting to someone new logging in for the first time and being hit with a ton of different Forums. Freshwater Discussions is easier than a Forum for each Fish Family (Characins... etc) and much easier to maintain.

So the answer is no for the time being. If there is a HUGE demand (and it has to be huge) then it will be a Forum Staff decision to go forth and create such a Forum.

Gary: can I have a section for men only that are keeping discus in a forty gallon planted tank that also resides in Florida?

Drat, sorry, we have one regarding Females that are keeping discus in a forty gallon planted tank that also reside in Utah. ROFL.

But to be serious, that is reason I don't want to split, soon everyone will want a "speciality" forum. There was one valid suggestion regarding Cichlids which is being given serious consideration since we have both "Old World" and "New World" Cichlids.

But to start fragmenting down, I am totally opposed to it, but once again, if demand is huge and it will remain busy sure, but like in the past, we've killed Forums that started off great and just well, faded.

I totally Understand that. I was just wondering since There is so much into betta's by themselves but I rather have everything at one place.

Thanks For letting me know
