Hello everyone,

My name is Jo and new to the forums. I've been in the hobby for about two years, I know some don't last past six months but I made it! As far as my setup I have a 40 gallon freshwater community tank. My family that dwells within are rainbow danios, neon tetras, cory catfish, dalmation mollies then my pleco. I'm running a fluval 306 canister filter and a marineland 400 HOB filter. With the HOB i had to clean the look up so I put a golden pothos in it. For lighting I have a adjustable LED lightbar with day and night lighting from Aqueon. For decor I have driftwood that looks like a small tree, cave made from red slate for the placo to hide under. I have a few live plants that are doing great and the fish love them along with some plastic plants to complete the theme oh yeah and black sand for substrate. Thats it for now, oh yeah if anyone has advise on convincing the wife into letting me get a biocube would AWESOME!!!

Yes, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you join us. Sounds like a great tank set up. Regarding getting your wife to agree to more tanks, you can go the sneaky route like I did. I picked up two tanks for free off of Craig's List, one for each of our children. "Free" and "for the kids" was the selling point. Still trying to figure out a way to get her to agree to more tanks strictly for me.

Welcome to TFH!

If your wife likes houseplants, you might try getting her into live freshwater planted tanks... ;)
